The History Of Spruce Studios.
Spruce Studios was formed 20 years ago in the
heart of the beautifully picturesque Devon countryside. It rapidly
became well respected and known for its work, not only in post
production, but the filming, arrangement and directing of a full scale
production. We operate strictly on a freelance basis, which means we
have no high production costs, only the staff we need to make your
movie special, and of course we cater exactly to your needs. All
editing, titles and even the voice over's by the BBC's Bob Symes are completed
in house using only the latest digital technology for broadcast
quality film production and editing. Also lowering production costs to you.
We have worked on numerous
international projects as far as America, South Africa and the Far
East. Not forgetting our UK based productions for advertising,
promotions, infomercials as well as producing short films for Garden
railways enthusiasts.
Our passion for delivering a
professionally finished product remains utmost at all times, from
filming, editing, packaging and distribution. Second best simply does
not do. Our BBC acclaimed voice over artist, Bob Symes has worked in
partnership on our railway productions even presenting it on Austrian
& German Television.
Charity Work
Further to our professional
products Spruce Studios is delighted to
support Ingfield Manor School in Sussex, by providing our services
free of charge for the filming of their annual open day and even by donating
a large percentage of the DVD sales back to the school to help with
its running costs. The Manor Railway, owned by Lynn Stratton, is a
delightful 10.25 inch line,
intermingling through the impressive grounds of the school. The total
length of the line is a little shy of a mile. It gives a great deal of
pleasure to the children resident in the school and the families of
those who take time to see it.
