The Kelana Jaya Line was the first fully automated driverless train in Malaysia's captial city of Kuala Lumpur. The Line forms a major part of the Klang Valley Integated Transit System and such is its popularity more lines are being added. Construction of this line began in 1994. the line is numbered 5 and coloured Ruby on the offical transit map. The line was formally known as the PUTRA LRT (Project Usahasama Transit Ringan Automatic Light Rapid Transit.) It is one of the longest fully automated driverless lines in the world, although it is worth noting these trains can be manually driven should there be a need to do so.

The arrival into downtown Vancouver is courtesy of a sea plane which offers stunning views of the harbour, airport and the greater Vancouver area. There is a brief history of the city, including its long association with the railways, then its straight into the complete cab ride on the Canada Line which opened in August 2009.
This line was originally proposed in the late 1970's and during the planning and public consultation stages was known as the "Richmond-Airport-Vancouver Line" or RAV for short. The name Canada Line was adopted in 2005 to coincide with the beginning of construction.
Station construction was designed in 2 stages. Sixteen of the original stations opened at the same time as the line. Three additional stations are planned and maybe built in the future. Capstan Way Station, currently under construction is expected to open in mid 2025.
Starting from Waterfront Station our first journey is to YVR Airport. Then its back to the junction station at Bridgeport of a journey to Richmond/Brighouse (the current southern terminus of this branch.) The return ride is from Richmond/Brighouse to the terminus station at Waterfront.
The motive power is provide by a 2 car articulated unit, built by Rotem, a division of the Hyundai Motor Company from South Korea. All 16 stations are shown from both the cab and road level, with a total running line of 19.2 Km. The current fleet consists of 20 fully automated 2 car articulated trains. Capacity is 334 passengers per pair of coaches. Top speed is 80 Km per hour (50mph).
Additional photos show the construction of the underground sections of the line and these have been inserted on the journey from Waterfront Station to Marine Drive Station.

This 3ft 6inch gauge line was originally constructed as a means of removing copper from the mines to the sea port of Strahan. today this line transports tourists on an adventure through tropical rainforest on a journey of discovery.
the line started operations in 1897, but was forced to close in 1963. the sigths and sounds of this railway came alive again in 2000 after a gap of 40 years. It operates with 3 of the original locomotives.
This video also includes old film footage of the last run in 1963.
